Living in an HOA, how long should the Board/Mgt. give people if they are late paying their HOA dues? It seems giving them alot of time they rack up their late fees and dues to $600.00 and more then alot of them end up going foreclosure or bankruptcy and we are told you cannot get the money or make them pay. The Community has been loosing out on alot of money that belongs to our community and they are all getting away with it. Can't we take them to small claims court and if high put a lien on their house? Can we add the lawyers fees and court costs to their bill so maybe the ones that keep paying late 2-3 months will know we mean business. It's not fair for everybody else to pay their HOA dues every month on time and the rest seem to get away with it.
