2 Yrs ago I revived a speeding ticket in Forrest City Ark. I tried to just pay my ticket but the clerk told me no I had to show up for court. I live in St. Louis mo. There was 3 court dates I wasn't able to make it to because I had no way there . Now for a ticket of a 61 in a 55
And because I wasn't able to show up because of no way there they suspend my license and my fine is now $760.00. Can I get a public defender to handle this case. I get SSI . 733 a month. FORREST CITY will not take payments. Tell me how am I suppose to get this taken care off.

Hey Shelia....i too had a ticket in forrest city passing thru and i didnt have the funds to pay so i went to court because i didnt want a bench warrant or have my license suspended. After court and pleading guilty, i went to the clerk with my papers and was asked to still pay ticket in full. Unless you live within 3 counties they WILL NOT accept any payment plans and yes a person will go to jail until your fine is paid in full regardless of any situation. My suggestion to you is either pay your ticket in full or go turn urself in and pay ur dues. Will suck.....but at the end you wont owe anything. Good luck.
