For 7 months I have been left to believe that I would be Blue to take full cousty of my great newphew who is one the mother and I were family until I divorced her uncle. She asked me and informed the court she wanted to sign over all of her rights to me. Up until yesterday everyone told me things were great and I would be able to take him home after court. Imstead they suddenly changes their minds because I'm not blood related and because my ex sister in law who was mad she wasn't asked to take him wrote a reference of nothing but lies and character assination. She was the only one to do so. But the lawyer and casa decided to use that as their reason to be rude and inform me that if I think I have any chance of completion this prosess I need a lawyer. You were actually my lawyer when I was 17 and in foster care. So I need to know what can be done. And if you can help me to do it. Its still the mothers intention to sign her rights to me and suddenly they told her it wasn't her right to say what she wanted to do. it wa a very emotional day to say the least.
