My grandaughter has primary parent custody of her son. The other night she had to drive over 50 miles from work to get her son from his grandparents who were being completely out of line. They would not give the little boy to his grandpa her Dad. She almost lost her job. She is working and going to school and her Dad and grandmother are taking care of her son for her to help her since the baby's dad is 20 years old and his job is being a cage fighter it doesn't pay him anything!!!! She is 17 trying to get a good education so she can take care of her son. She has tried being nice to the paternal side of the family but they are not cooperating. Since she is the parent who has control over the child why wouldn't the cops do what she said and give the baby to her Dad. He had all the paperwork including the birth certificate which does not have a Dad listed on it. The so called Dad does not pay child support they say he is but she has never received any for 2 years now and when the baby was at the hospital the Dad's mother FINALLY came to the ER and she went to pick up her son (the Dad) from the gym and he wouldn't go. So what are the Mother's rights as controlling parent? We desperately need help and her attorney just wants more money.
