I have some property that I was selling for my mother. The property is in my name. We all sat down with an attorney inThomasville and worked out the details. She was to pay for the property before we gave her a completed deed for property. She came back and said loaners wanted a copy of the deed in her name to loan the money. We agreed to give her a Copy of said deed for loan purposes only. The law office has assured me that she was only given a copy. I was at the register of deeds during this time on another issue I asked them if they could tell a copy from an original. They assured me I had the original and a copy would not be registered or recorded. Well guess what she recorded it in her name. I have been back to the original lawyer and he is putting me off. Also I did go to the magistrate and he would not touch it, he assigned me a part time Detective. I sent him all my information and he called her in for an interview. He never interviewed me. I feel like I have been let down by all involved and need some real help. This started back in August 2014. After she could not a loan her live in said well the stupid lawyer gave us the original screw you.. I have been robbed and can't get anybody in Davidson County to help. I think a criminal act has occurred and I can't get any help from those involves. I have the statute . I think it is 14.0000 Obtaining property by false pretenses which is a criminal offense from what I understand. I don't know what my options are. can you assist. We have worked together before but has been quite a few years. Can you assist me with this or point me to someone who could help. I think it should go back to the Register of deeds for recording a fake deed.
