Attorney George Lamb, I contacted you about a year ago. I am an associate professor of U.S. & African-American History. I told you I might be fired and I got a notice from U of L President Neville Pinto that he is recommending I be fired to the U of L Board of Trustees at the full Board meeting on the 29th of Nov. or next Tuesday at 9 a.m. and I'll only 15-minutes to talk and the U of L Counsel or Dean will get 15-minutes plus they are submitting a packet of documents to show I had student complaints and I must take remedial training at Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning that I declined because my student evaluations ranged from C to B- and the History Dept. Average was 4.2 and mine ranged from 3.3 to 3.9 I saw this requirement as retaliatory punishment to tarnish my record and the U of L officials rejected all of my rebuttals as a matter of policy; and they claim that my professional activity or publications was not proficient. I contend it is true and I had in a 3-year period 55 exhibitions as professional activity they discounted them and more. I first need you to stop the Nov. 29th meeting & the next full board meeting full Board meetings are Feb. 9, 2017 & June 22, 2017 for time to prepare my defense. I have been “suspended” from Teaching from June 2015 to now and on Sept. 21, 2016, I was put on paid “administrative” leave on both. Nov. 29 and 15-minutes are not enough time, esp. without counsel. I need more preparation time and legal counsel now by you to set up a later date & help with my defense and submission on my records. Once this is done at a hopefully for a reasonable fee I can afford, we can discuss time, cost, legal action and possible outcomes from my rebuttal documents and interpretation. I need to see you right away on this because of the short notice I got. I am in a panic because of the short notice and I am fighting scores of people with great skills and resources and the Trustees are accustomed to taking top-level recommendation and rubber stamping them and I don’t stand a chance, esp. n short notice wit out counsel. I need your help & protection. Still, I prefer a courtroom battle to correct the damage done to me, my career and professional reputation. I think a public fight would be very helpful in making my case in both courtroom and with the public. Are you up to that sort of messy fight?
