My husband is needing advice on a Real Estate Contract that may be in default. Wondering what your consulation fee is to reveiw the contract. An agreement was drawn up by his mother to sell her part of farm land to her brother prior to her death so there would be no complications after her passing away. She is now deceased and this came legal upon the death of their mother (who passed away first part of January 2015)The agreement was to pay the amount agreed upon with 7 days of their mother passing away. If not done so 9% interest was to be paid each day there after. When Kim's Uncle (brother of his mother listed in the agreement) went to make the checks out, deducted the interest payment from it. So he didn't follow the agreement as stated. We were looking for someone to review the agreement and see if there is anything we can do. The lawyer that drew up the agreement said to us that legal action could be taken against him. Upon signing for the check, my husband and other children involved was not told that the interest was deducted. You can contact me at 563-422-7488.
