In 1999 I helped a friend with installing roof shingles on a portion of her roof. In the process I fell from about 17' - 20' up on a ladder when it began to slide and I had to jump off the ladder. Went to the local hospital and had an x-ray. Found a fracture on my spine and a (2) herniated disc. Contacted her insurance company and was told that I would not be covered because I was not paid. So I ended up paying for it myself with a claim to my personal insurance. Since then I had multiple surgical procedures and then on November 1, 2010 I had a major surgery (Disc Fusion). Since the surgery I am permanently disabled. I lost everything and it has been a huge strain on my family. The pain has increased 10 folds since the surgery. Now I heard that many people that had disc fusion Surgery experienced an allergic reaction or the body may just reject the fusion. Finally there has been a class action law suit filed to help compensate these people that have suffered.
1. Do you know if this is true in regards to the rejection of the disc fusion implant?
2. Is there a class action lawsuit that represents these people?
3. What are the qualifications to be included in the lawsuit?
