Afternoon David,

Not sure if you remember me since it’s been about 12 or 13yrs since your firm drew up the papers for our living will. Are you playing any softball these days?

Reason for my email is to ask a few questions. I’m divorced now and have my own home and wanted to be sure things were in place in the event of my death. My ex-wife is listed as the executor of the will if I die, so would she be the one to see that my home is sold, my debts get paid off, my children are able to select the things they want that are mine and then sell the remaining items?

My eldest is 16 and the youngest is 13. I know my ex is still the legal guardian and I would hope she will still manage my affairs properly but is there anything I should do or be aware of just in case? I’m also in a partnership and in the event of my death would my children be eligible to receive my percentage of the business? We will be making adjustments to our partnership agreement so I thought I would ask.
