Hello,
I have a concern for the animals at this towns Animal Control facility and the worker/ workers in that facility. Who oversees this place other than the Mayor who is not doing right by the animals.? A dog was pulled out by rescue last week 40 lbs underweight, and now HW positive and costing over 1200 to help vet if she survives. dog allegedly belonged to ex Chief of Police and arrived at facility in June during flooding. he should be paying for the vet costs. Another dog had to be pulled due to the same reason of starving yesterday.. Other issues with cleaning of the kennels while the dogs are in the kennels is WRONG. The A/C worker, poured clorox in the kennels to clean floors WHILE the dogs were in the kennels. This is not acceptable! And the Mayor should be asking for donations of dog food if they dont have any. Local Walmarts help their communities. dog food companies donate many times when animals are in need. Starving a dog like Lucy was starved is animal cruelty for residents, the town has no right to abuse an animal like this. This Mayor needs to start being a bit animal friendly Who can help in this community? Thanks for your time.
