I'm a 68yr old active female (26270 Burlington Wy, Menifee, Ca 92582) diagnosed w/postive biopsy (left) breast cancer (approx Aug, 2010. Had a lumpectomy at UCSD, La Jolla, Ca, Dr Wallace Dec 2, 2010. Once back at home in Riverside County I was sheduled with Dr Tara Washington (Wildomar & Temecula offices) for radiation. Febuary, 2013 I started out with a sinus inf, went into Bronciitis. After approx 3wks after Rx I developed a cough. This past year I went to see my PCP a few times to follow up with this cough. Had chest X-ray, one in Feb & a 2nd in Nov with no signs of pneumonia. This cough is dry to productive. I sometimes have coughing fits that can last 1-3hrs. At times I can hardly catch my breath. To make a long story short, I again had sinus inf also turned into broncitis in Feb, 2014. Still had PCP visits regarding this horrible cough. In April 2014. PCP (Dr Suzanne Chang) ordered a CT w/wo contrast. The results showed "Lungs: There is no pulmonary consolidation to suggest pneumonia. There is fibrosis & pleural thickening at the anterior aspect of the left upper lobe & lingula subjacent to the left breast lumpectory postsurgical changes, consistent w/post-radiation fibrosis.
There are 4mm calcified granlomas within the left upper & right lower lobe, & a few 3mm calcified granulomas within the left lower lobe, consistent w/prior granulomatous disease".
Myself & the tech (that positioned me on the radiation table, dialed in my info to receive radiation) she & I had verbal arguments each and every time i had to go in. I feel this tech at Dr Washington office has now harmed me purposely. Thinking "who will know" until now when I had my lung CT. Now I have to live my life out with a nasty cough that has really made me homebound, coughing so hard at times, i have wet my pants (a little tinkle) coughing so hard I left my groceries in the basket and leave to go home to get privacy. So this cough has effected my whole life/lifestyle. the one thing I know for sure is this cough will be my demmise. All I have to do is get pneumonia and that's it for me. I'm now on a nebulizer to help me breath (thanks to the radiation tech. I did mail Dr Washington a copy of the CT report, about 3wks ago and still waiting for someone there, would call me...
